I've started coloring the few frames I have, and intend to draw and color them at the same time. I do this by using the magic wand and pen tool in synchrony.
Rotoscope Update
So far, I've combined my videos and have commenced drawing out this absolutely horrifying animation frame-by-frame.
Finished DECA Commerical
https://youtu.be/OwSWtaffyUM This is the finished product for the DECA commercial, composed mostly of tweening and symbols, with the music being composed by Prentiss Adair.
Rotoscope Update
For today, I've begun by filming the rotoscope video to be animated. The video is nineteen seconds long, and involves me hitting a consecutive series of dabs; I truly don't know why I chose to create something so insanely outdated and horrible, though it should be fun to animate, nonetheless.
DECA Commercial Final Update
I'm quite nearly done with the animation, and should finish it up by today. I'm simply adding a few scenes I forgot I put into the script, which entirely involve tweening. After this, I simply need to the add the sounds, and I'll be complete.
DECA Commercial Update
Work is coming along well; I'm currently adding a few filler scenes to give it a more uniform look, and ultimately tie together the bulk of the animation. The current scenes primarily involve symbol use and tweening, though much of the background and symbols are still entirely hand-drawn.
Hand-Drawn DECA Commercial Update
So far, I've finished scene one, and are moving onto scene two out of four, which should be far easier considering that I now have a solid grasp on what I wish to do.
Hand-Drawn DECA Commercial Update
For the DECA commercial, I've nearly completed scene one, and am currently animating the last few seconds. Thus far, I've primarily used tweening and basic symbols, with most frame0by-frame animation being completed and reused in symbols. Next, I intend to animate the questions and information on the bottom of the screen, as opposed to narrating … Continue reading Hand-Drawn DECA Commercial Update
Hand-Drawn DECA Commercial
In my assignment to create a freehanded DECA commercial, I've begun storyboarding the animation out, and am just now underway on sketching and animating. The storyboard and planning goes as follows: Scene 1: Little Elm DECA logo drawn in by hand (action animated) “This is DECA, you may have heard about it before; through a … Continue reading Hand-Drawn DECA Commercial
Flipbook Animation Project
https://youtu.be/JMHQOxf_7sM For this project we had to attempt to draw a short 24-frame flipbook animation. I decided to use Flash for a much smoother animation and to allow for streamlined tweening. The animation itself is of a tiny little cannon (Of whom I named Ivan for some apparent reason) who fires and strikes the floating … Continue reading Flipbook Animation Project
